Note for the DIMO team: This is an engineering-authored baseline so the page exists and is linked sitewide. Have it reviewed and finalized by legal counsel before relying on it. Replace this note on publish.

DIMO Network, Inc. ("DIMO", "we", "us") operates the DIMO developer platform at www.dimo.org. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It is written to support compliance with the GDPR and the EU Data Act.

Data we collect

  • Account data — name, email, and organization for developers who register for the Developer Console.
  • Vehicle data — telemetry, location, diagnostics, and identity data that a vehicle owner has explicitly permissioned to a developer through the SACD consent model. Developers only receive the scopes a user has granted.
  • Usage data — API request logs, and standard web analytics (Google Analytics, IP-anonymized) used to operate and improve the site.

How we use data

We use data to provide and secure the platform, to authenticate API access, to honor and enforce user consent, to communicate with developers, and to meet legal obligations.

Vehicle owners control which data is shared, with whom, and for how long, and can revoke access at any time. Under the GDPR and EU Data Act you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data is shared with developers only under explicit user permission, and with service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics) under contract. We may disclose data where required by law.

Retention and security

We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and apply technical and organizational measures to protect it.
